Data Controls

You decide what stays and what goes.

Every piece of data Incarnate holds about you is yours to view, export, or delete. This page tells you exactly where each control lives.

01

Your account and profile

Change your name, profile photo, email, or sign-in provider from your account settings. If you signed in with Google, you can also revoke Incarnate's access from your Google account at any time — sign-in will simply stop working until you reconnect.

Your personas

Personas are the people you've told Aerin about — your manager, your mother, your partner, whoever you're rehearsing for. Open the People tab to see everyone you've added, view what the system remembers about each one, edit their traits or relationship, or delete a persona entirely. Deleting a persona also removes the observations linked to it.

03

Sessions, transcripts, and feedback

Every rehearsal session shows up in your history with its transcript, scores, and written debrief. From any session's insights page you can read or download the transcript and delete the session record. Deleting a session removes the transcript, the AI's feedback, and the observations it produced.

04

Persona memory and observations

Aerin saves small memory snippets after each session — things she noticed about the persona's style, what landed, what didn't. You can browse those observations from a persona's detail page and delete any one of them, or clear the entire memory for a persona. Observations also soft-decay on their own over a 60–90 day window if they are not reinforced.

Product analytics opt-out

We send a small set of anonymised events to PostHog to understand how the product is used. You can opt out from your account settings; when opted out, no further analytics events will be sent from your account. Existing aggregated metrics that have already been logged remain in our analytics store but are not personally identifiable.

06

Chrome extension data

The Incarnate Chrome extension stores a small amount of state locally in your browser — which Reddit AmItheAsshole posts the rehearsal prompt has already been shown for, and the configured Incarnate app URL. To clear this:

  • Open Chrome's extensions page (chrome://extensions), find Incarnate, click "Details," and use the "Clear data" or "Site data" controls.
  • Or uninstall the extension — Chrome will remove all of its local storage as part of the uninstall.

The extension does not store transcripts, account credentials, payment data, or any browsing history beyond the per-post "already prompted" flags described above.

07

Export your data

You have a right to a copy of your personal data. To request an export — your personas, sessions, transcripts, and feedback in a machine-readable format — email support@incarnatelabs.com from the address on your account. We respond within 30 days.

Delete everything

You can close your account from your account settings. When you do, we permanently delete your personas, session transcripts, feedback, and the observations attached to them within 30 days. Backups containing your data roll off our backup retention window after a further 60 days at the latest.

We retain a small amount of data after account closure only where we are legally required to (for example, basic billing records for tax purposes).

If you can't access the in-app delete option, email support@incarnatelabs.com from your account email and we'll handle it manually.

09

Cookies and local storage

Incarnate uses cookies and local storage only for things the product functionally needs — keeping you signed in (Clerk), remembering which tab you were on, and (unless you opt out) one analytics-distinct-id cookie. You can clear cookies for incarnatelabs.com and alpha.incarnatelabs.com from your browser's site-settings panel at any time. This signs you out and resets local preferences but does not delete your account-side data.

Other rights

You also have the right to:

  • Correct inaccurate personal data we hold about you.
  • Object to or restrict certain uses of your data — for example, opting out of analytics, or asking us to stop processing your data while we investigate a request.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe we have mishandled your data.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@incarnatelabs.com.
